#23.2025 – Face the sun and be more daisy.
We begin this week’s list with an outstanding new collaboration between the sensational Rachel Hill and Luke white. The vocal harmonies in “sell-by-date” are superb and I love the sound of this brilliant duo.

I want to wind back to 2023 next for another brilliant vocal pairing, in Ninebarrow’s beautiful and calming song ‘house’. The subtle strings and the luscious harmonies in this song are scintillating.
The calming tone continues with a great new tune from Gee Sonnit. “Little Miss Magie” is a glorious sunset of a song and the slide work in this track is outstanding.
Huge mention for my “one to watch” this week which is Maria from Liverpool. Her latest EP ‘journal pages’ is simply gorgeous. I love the way she weaves together her complex sound and lyrics in the most provocative way.
Jennifer Reid has an outstanding New Album out this week and as well as appearing in our new Podcast (coming soon) she has been touring NewZealand and has been busy writing new songs to accompany her massive collection of 19th century ballads. Her new Album ‘Ballad of the Gatekeeper’ is a must listen…
Other Standout tracks this week are Yaelokre’s brilliant work on ‘Cole’s Respnse’ which is infectiously original, Chance Emerson’s brilliant Spotify session, and Meka’s The Rabbit… Also returning to this week’s playlist is Watchouse and Luna Keller to give us a nice end to a sensational list this week.
