This is such a self indulgent and personal playlist this week.

Although it is not the first track on the list I want to begin with some thoughts about the beautiful and heart wrenching emotion woven into the song “But I Do” by the brilliant Polly Morris. This powerfully, reassuring and song caught me off guard when I was visiting my dad this week, if you have lost or are loosing someone to a dementia approach “But I Do” with caution it is a beautiful yet sad reminder of how hard it is to deal with.

Oh Gosh, so many amazing things to share this week, “All Ends will Come” by Wave Of the Flood, is a first-class introspective piece that recognises the delicate nature of love. Lindsay is sounding so good on this latest release.

“Marsha P Johnson” is such an amazing and powerful piece of work from Maddie Morris, who has offered us something special here. It is the perfect blend of protest and self reflection, the powerful found music and news clips layered into this piece glow like embers and sting the heart as you listen to Maddie’ exquisite vocals.

There is another gorgeous song I want to draw your attention to this week which is actually quite old now, but I remembered the song “Angel in a blue dress” by Reg Meuross during a long car journey this week. It comes from his outstanding 2017 album faraway people, this song has gained so much new meaning as the “angels in blue dresses” seem to have to face more and more, and seem have less and less to tackle it with….

We have also released Episode one of our new podcast this week so I included a trailer of my amazing chat with Jennifer Reid, check out the podcast if you get time.
