So, I wanted to build a comforting list this week…

There seems to be no let-up in the cold, and it is starting to bother me. So, I have brought together a list of songs I think will warm you from the inside.

The list starts with a lilting little gem from Joy Oladokun, “Black Car”, a song which ends with the beautiful hopeful line, “I will stay my course, turn my pain into beauty when I can”…

This leads us to Madeleine Leigh with Home to you, and the divine collaboration between Evan Dibbs and Nan Macmillan telling us to “feel good sometimes”. We all need a little of that….

I was feeling a bit loved up post Valentine’s day too, so there is a lovely cover of just the way you are by Heather Maloney and the wonderful new track, “falling” from the latest Tophouse album.

There is another one to watch, on this list too, Erin Wharton’s exquisite little track “Sun Trap”, sits like a furnace in the middle of this playlist. The sense of warmth and love in this song is tingling, and I cannot wait to hear more from Erin…

I really hope you like this week’s list.
